Dr. Seema Sheth is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs micrographic surgeon.

Why Choose a Fellowship Trained Mohs Surgeon?

Fellowship trained Mohs surgeons undergo one year of additional extensive, hands-on training directly from highly qualified instructors, beyond the traditional dermatology residency. In doing so, they gain a breadth of exposure to rare tumor pathology, difficult tumor locations, and complex wound reconstruction, obtaining a depth of training and experience that is unmatched. By choosing a fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon, you can be assured that you will receive the highest standard of quality and competence.

Dr. Sheth was born and raised in Iowa and went on to attend The Johns Hopkins University where she majored in Biomedical Engineering. She received her medical degree from the prestigious University of Michigan Medical School in 2006. Dr. Sheth completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Rush University in Chicago and a Dermatology residency at the University of Iowa, where she was selected to serve as Chief Resident. From 2010-2011, she completed a fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery at UMass Memorial Medical Center under the direction of Dr. Mary Maloney. Dr. Sheth then returned to the Midwest and practiced in the Chicago suburbs before founding Sheth Dermatology & Mohs Surgery Center in early 2016.

Dr. Sheth’s academic interests include cutaneous oncology, early diagnosis and prevention of skin cancer in high-risk patients, Mohs surgery, and facial reconstruction. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, American College of Mohs Surgery, and Chicago Dermatological Society.

Outside of work, Dr. Sheth enjoys spending time with her husband and three children.
